Abeica Rosado 2024 boasts an appealing very pale pink hue with subtle onion skin nuances. On the nose, it features prominent citrus aromas of tangerine and lemon, complemented by the freshness of wild strawberries and cherries, along with a hint of tropical notes. On the palate, it delivers a very fresh and intense entry, with notable acidity and a clean, fruity profile. Flavours of cherry, citrus fruits, apple, and a slight tropical nuance are perceived, all with good volume.

About Abeica Rosado

If you visit the Bodegas Abeica website, it is highly likely that it will appear as sold out. And finding it elsewhere might become an almost impossible mission. But fear not! Here at Decántalo, we still have bottles of Abeica Rosado.
 
Under the leadership of Ricardo Fernández, the young oenologist representing the fifth generation of the family, this family-run enterprise is emerging as one of the most promising wineries in the D.O.Ca. Rioja. This fresh approach, introduced by Fernández, has breathed new life into their 40 hectares of vineyards (some nearly a century old), where various varieties such as mazuelo, garnacha (both red and white), and viura thrive. The latter two are used to produce Abeica Rosado. The winery's plots, located in Rioja Alta, are situated in the village of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, at the foot of the mountain, creating an incredibly favourable microclimate for the vineyard. The thermal contrast between day and night and the clay-limestone soils (with abundant water in the subsoil) provide the perfect conditions to achieve the highest possible quality. Little else is needed to ensure that Abeica Rosado is a spectacular wine. 
 
Abeica Rosado is harvested and taken to the winery, where it is crushed and placed in stainless steel fermentation tanks. Finally, after a very gentle pressing, Abeica Rosado is bottled and ready to be enjoyed. So hurry and don't delay.
