About Albino Armani Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico

Albino Armani Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico is a red wine aged in wood made by Albino Armani with the Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella varieties in the DOC Amarone della Valpolicella, in the Veneto area (Italy). 
 
Located at the highest point of the Camporal, north of Verona, the Albino Armani family has been in the wine business since 1607. Today, under the direction of Signor Albino Armani, the family has five separate wineries: three in Veneto, one in Trentino Adige and one in Friuli. The main one in Marano is built on the hillside, integrating environmentally with the surroundings and implementing the latest technology. An alchemy of environment and knowledge which provides powerful and very balanced wines.
 
Albino Armani Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico comes from vineyards located between 360 and 450 m above sea level. Twenty-eight hectares planted on calcareous soils of volcanic rock where the vines are worked respectfully and with sustainable techniques. The grapes are selected by hand with extreme care during the harvest and placed in small boxes to be transported to the winery.
 
The grapes of Albino Armani Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico are gently pressed in the cellar and the must obtained begins a long and slow fermentation in contact with the skins for about 30 days. Afterwards, the wine remains in oak barrels for a minimum of 36 months before being bottled.
 
The fruit of a long tradition in wine culture, Albino Armani Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico is a powerful, complex and balanced wine. An excellent drinking pleasure.

Albino Armani Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico 2016 is a concentrated red wine with a powerful nose showing a broad spectrum of aromas, from ripe red and black fruit to spiced notes. On the palate it’s enveloping, still fresh and well structured. A pleasant, elegant, balanced wine, rich in tannins and with a long, pleasant finish.
