Alter Ego de Palmer 2025 presents an alluring display of elegance and depth. On the nose, it unveils an array of fruity aromas, with prominent notes of black cherries and blackberries, complemented by a hint of liquorice and vanilla, a result of its meticulous ageing in oak barrels. On the palate, it offers a robust and well-structured body, where the tannins feel velvety and smooth. About Alter Ego de Palmer

Alter Ego de Palmer is a wood-aged red wine made by Château Palmer with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot varieties in the AOC Margaux, in Bordeaux (France).
 
Château Palmer is one of the most prestigious wineries in Medoc. It was set up by British military man Charles Palmer who, in 1814, realised the great quality of the terroirs and dedicated himself to their cultivation and growth. Today, the Sichel family along with winemaker Thomas Duroax are the ones responsible for maintaining this Margaux essence. 
 
Alter Ego de Palmer comes from a vineyard classified as Troisième Cru, but its quality is so high that it is comparable to some Premier Cru. The vines are aged around 40 years old and are planted in extraordinary soils of clay, gravel and sand. The harvest is carried out manually. 
 
In the winery, the Alter Ego de Palmer grapes firstly ferment in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, and then the wine ages for 16-18 months in French oak barrels, 25 to 40% of which are new.
 
Alter Ego de Palmer is the result of the complexity of a great terroir and the professionalism of those who work it. A superior quality limited production that expresses the essence of the Margaux denomination.

Alter Ego de Palmer 2022 is a concentrated red wine, very intense and rich in aromas. Notes of cherries, wild berries, plums, and rose petals stand out. On the palate, it is lively and indulgent, with well-balanced and flavorful acidity. Great core of fruits. Deep.
2016 Alter Ego de Palmer 2016 is a concentrated red wine with an intense and clean nose of a beautiful floral range, pleasant notes of ripe red fruits and delicious spicy, balsamic and toasted touches. On the palate it has a surprisingly great balance. An enveloping, flavoursome and powerful wine with hints of red fruit and spices and fine, silky tannins. The finish is wide and long.
2015 Alter Ego de Palmer 2015 is a concentrated red wine where the ripe black fruit sits perfectly with the oak and spicy notes from the wood. An aromatic explosion that moves elegantly onto the palate. The entry is fresh and pleasant and the mid-palate is silky and fruity. The finish is long and persistent with deliciously mineral hints.
