About Antoine Jobard Meursault

Antoine Jobard Meursault is a great white wine made from quality vineyards and with the expertise of winery managers Francois and Antoine Jobard. Made from the Chardonnay variety in the AOC Meursault/Côte-d'Or, this is a Burgundy with a very traditional style.

Francois Jobard, famous oenologist and one of the people behind the Meursault denomination, works with his son Francois on his small family estate in the Cote d'Or. Owners of some of the best terroirs in the area (Charmes, Genevrieres, Poruzots) their wines are 100% purist in style and will appeal to those who love classic Burgundies. By which we mean, long aging with older wood.

Antoine Jobard Meursault comes from exclusive terroirs composed mainly of clay-limestone soils. The vines are respectfully cultivated taking into account the natural balance of the terroir, and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.

In the winery, once the Antoine Jobard Meursault grapes have been meticulously selected, they are vinified. Firstly there is an automatic pressing and the must ferments in French oak barrels with native yeasts. It spends 12 months there, without batonnage.

Although Antoine Jobard Meursault is the basic wine of this lustrous winery, it stands out just as much as their other wines. A tremendously pleasant Chardonnay that needs time to reveal its full potential.

 

2019

Antoine Jobard Meursault 2019 is a lusciously creamy white wine. The bouquet reveals white blossoms, pear, orange zest, toasted almonds, and freshly baked bread. On the palate, it is dense with a medium structure that envelops the entire palate, showcasing a striking contrast between the fruitiness and the zesty accents.
2018

Antoine Jobard Meursault 2018 is a creamy white wine with aromas of orange peel, ripe stone fruit notes and hints of citrus. On the palate it is concentrated, fresh and silky. A well-balanced wine with great tension and a wonderful spiciness on the finish.
