About Atamisque Assemblage

Atamisque Assemblage is a wood-aged red wine produced by Tierras Atamisque with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot varieties in the Uco Valley, in Mendoza (Argentina).

Tierras Atamisque is the first winery you come to when passing through the Uco Valley. After having different owners, it is now run by Frenchman John Du Monceau who fell in love with the area and decided to create premium wines with a lot of character that are fruity and have a balanced alcohol content.

Atamisque Assemblage comes from vineyards lying 1,100 to 1,300 metres above sea level. They are cultivated using environment-friendly agriculture and production is limited to achieve maximum concentration. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.

In the winery, the Atamisque Assemblage grapes are selected and destemmed. They then undergo maceration and fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Finally, the wine ages for 18 months in 225-litre French oak barrels.

Atamisque Assemblage is the star wine of this Argentine winery. An iconic wine made with noble red varieties in a true French style.

 

2019

Atamisque Assemblage 2016 is a concentrated red wine with notes of red fruits, floral notes and hints of vanilla and chocolate. On the palate it is impressive, balanced and elegant. A surprisingly balanced wine with creamy tannins and refreshing acidity. The finish is lingering and wonderful.
