About Azpilicueta Blanco

Azpilicueta Blanco is a white wine produced by the winery Azpilicueta, in D.O. Rioja.
This winery belongs to the group Domecq Bodegas. It is located in Logroño, a region of the north of Rioja.
Azpilicueta Blanco is 100% made with the Viura variety, the most cultivated white variety in Rioja. The grapes that the winery cultivates are characterised by a low alcohol strength and a well-balanced acidity.
They carry out traditional winemaking in its production. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature.
Then, the wine undergoes a short ageing of 3 months on its lees in oak barrels with soft toasting.
2022 Azpilicueta Blanco 2022 has delicious aromas of white fruits and citrus notes that bring freshness on the nose, accompanied by a subtle floral touch. The palate flows with a pleasant body and precise, well-balanced acidity. A refreshing, perfumed and charming white wine.

Azpilicueta Blanco 2021 is a well-defined white wine, exhibiting a pale yellow hue with greenish reflections. The bouquet reveals aromas of apple, pear, banana, and citrus, intertwined with white floral notes. On the palate, it is exceptionally refreshing and encompassing, leading to a lingering finish.
2014 Exquisitely fresh and delightful, it boasts a smooth, silky and enveloping palate, leaving behind intense fruity and floral sensations. The acidity is beautifully balanced. The finish is prolonged and lingering.

Straw yellow with greenish highlights.

The intensity of white and citrus fruits stands out, set against a vividly floral backdrop. Soft sweet and toasted notes also emerge.
