Azpilicueta Reserva 2019 is a red wine exhibiting an intense ruby hue with tile-like reflections. On the nose, delicate aromas of vanilla and quince are discernible. About Azpilicueta Reserva

Azpilicueta Reserva is a red wine from the D.O. La Rioja made by the Azpilicueta winery. This wine is a coupage of the Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo varieties.
The grapes used to make Azpilicueta Reserva come from a vineyard that the winery owns called Fuenmayor. This is a plot of over 800 hectares, planted at different altitudes and with different orientations.
The composition of the vineyard means that there are different microclimates and, therefore, the same fruit can have different qualities depending on the area it grows in.
That is why each year the winery’s team selects the plots it considers most suitable for making Azpilicueta wines.
After the harvest, the Azpilicueta Reserva grapes first undergo the corresponding vinification processes, which last about thirty days and are carried out at a temperature of between 28º and 30º.
Azpilicueta Reserva is aged for 16 months in French and American oak barrels before being refined for a further 20 months in the bottle.

2018 Azpilicueta Reserva 2018 is a red wine with a pleasantly complex nose with ripe black fruit aromas accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla, quince and hints of scrubland. On the palate it is elegant. An enveloping, silky and pleasantly persistent red wine with well-integrated acidity and oak.
2010 Resolute, it presents a remarkably velvety texture.
