About Barahonda Blanco Organic

Barahonda Blanco Organic is a white wine from the D.O. Yecla produced by the winery Barahonda. This is a white wine made from Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc.

The grapes used for Barahonda Blanco Organic are sourced from the vineyards managed by the winery: 150 hectares of their own land and an additional 600 hectares of crops overseen by the winery's technical team.

The region's climate is continental in nature, with cold winters—where temperatures frequently drop below zero—and dry, hot summers, with temperatures reaching up to 40°C.

After the harvest and transport to the winery, the grapes for Barahonda Blanco Organic undergo cold maceration for three days at a controlled temperature of 5°C. Subsequently, the fermentation phase takes place at 15°C, during which daily battonage is performed to aid the process.

Before bottling, the wine is racked to enhance its character.

Barahonda Blanco Organic is a winery located in the Murcia region, specifically in the Altiplano area. This is a region situated between the plateau and the Mediterranean Sea, thus benefiting from diverse influences.
