About Bàrbara Forés Rosat

Bàrbara Forés Rosat is a rosé wine produced by the winery Bàrbara Forés  in Gandesa (Tarragona), D.O. Terra Alta.

 

Bàrbara Forés is a family-run winery that dates back to the late 19th century, when Rafael Ferrer Forés started to make wine. Currently, Carmen Ferrer and her husband, Manuel Sanmartín, are in charge of the winery.

Bàrbara Forés has 22 hectares of vineyard. This allows them to combine altitude and orientation, the pains and the hills, the shade and the sun. Alongside cultivation with natural products and organic manure, they achieve a unique grape that adjusts to the requirements and characteristics of the different farms.

 

Bàrbara Forés Rosat is a wine made from Grenache, Syrah and Carignan from their own vineyards.

It is produced in a traditional way, just like they made it in the 19th century. Harvest is performed by hand. Skin-contact maceration for 24 hours. After the saignée, it ferments in stainless steel deposits for 20 days at 16-18ºC.

 

Bàrbara Forés Rosat is a fruity, fresh wine with body. Aromas of fresh red fruit on the nose. In the mouth, it is expressive, easy to drink and quite long lasting.

2023

Bàrbara Forés Rosat 2023 is a rosé wine with an intense yet slightly pale hue. On the nose, it is distinguished by its aromas of strawberries and cherries, accompanied by a subtle hint of red liquorice. On the palate, it offers a luscious entry, with a substantial fruit load and a fleshy texture that makes it highly enjoyable. Its fresh profile makes it a versatile wine, perfect for any occasion. With a limited production of 8,700 bottles, it is a unique choice for rosé enthusiasts.                      
2010 Broad attack. Very tasty and slightly oily. Strong and sweet notes fruit are noticed again. Good acidity and good finish. Suggestive, dry and very fresh rosé wine.

Dark currant pink colour. Lively and bright.

Its intense aromas of red fruit take centre stage, providing this wine with candy scents. Light floral notes and a touch of herbs.
2009 Winy, warm, with hints of dried fruit and end chocolate.

Bright ruby red currant.

Aromas of strawberry, fig and mango.
