About Mas d'en Gil Bellmunt

Bellmunt is a red wine from the D.O.Q. Priorat made of Grenache and Carignan grapes produced by the winery Viticultors Mas d'en Gil.

According to their own words, the main wish of this winery is "to bottle the land", thus offering wines with a colour, flavour and aroma which show the spirit and the tradition of the region they are born. 

Bellmunt  stands out for a greater presence of fruit than in other Priorat wines, thus empathizing its nuances.

Bellmunt 2017 is a supple red wine exuding aromas of dark fruit, underbrush nuances, and mineral hints. On the palate, it is vibrant, silky, and enduring. A wine characterized by ripe tannins, profoundly fruity with a balsamic finish.
2009 Good, bulky, decisive attack. Silky and enticing on the palate with a high concentration of fleshy, tasty black fruit. Magnificent acidity bringing freshness, ripe tannins, balanced. Long and persistent finish. Fruity aftertaste. Balsamic, minty and mineral notes felt at retro-olfaction. Round, appetising.

Cherry colour, medium-robe, clean and bright. Fine, even tears on the glass.

An expressive, enjoyable and well-defined medium-intensity nose. Ripe red fruit appears at first and then gives way to lightly toasted aromas accompanied by hints of undergrowth (rosemary). Intense minerals appear in the background, a characteristic of the land from where the grapes come.
2008 This wine has the intensity of the wines of Priorat but with a long-lasting freshness. It is tasty and enveloping and shows a silky texture and a light, flavourful and smooth mid palate. It has a good fresh and fruity finish. A round wine.

Intense cherry red colour. Bright and elegant tears.

The intense and juicy notes of ripe fruit give way to fresh balsamic aromas, light toasted hints and good herbal notes (aromatic plants and dried flowers). Light and subtle mineral background.
