Bérêche & Fils Côteaux Champenoise Ormes Rouge Les Montées is a cask-aged red wine made by Bérêche & Fils with the Pinot Noir variety in the AOC Champagne, in Champagne (France). 
 
Bérêche & Fils is a family estate located in the Montagne de Reims which, although it’s been working the vineyards since 1847, only started to position itself as a reference winery in 2004. Together with their father, the latest generation of Bérêche, Raphael and Vincent , revolutionize the conventional vision of the Champagne region, recovering ancestral methods and achieving pure, elegant and very mineral elaborations. 
 
In the vineyard, the vines used to make Bérêche & Fils Côteaux Champenoise Ormes Rouge Les Montées are planted on sandy and limestone soils. Respectful agriculture is applied, without the use of synthetic chemicals and it’s one of the maisons with the lowest rate of treatments in the region and one of the first to have the certificate of High Environmental Quality. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness. 
 
In the cellar, the grapes of Bérêche & Fils Côteaux Champenoise Ormes Rouge Les Montées are partially destemmed and macerated for 8-10 days. Fermentation is carried out in barrels with native yeasts and then ageing is also carried out in wood for 12 months. Finally, the wine is bottled without clarifying or filtering.

2018 Bérêche & Fils Côteaux Champenoise Ormes Rouge Les Montées 2018 is a smooth red wine with aromas of red and black fruits, earthy notes and subtle hints of tobacco. On the palate, it’s elegant, floral and warm. A wine with fine tannins, lingering acidity and a fresh, long finish.
