About Briego Vendimia Seleccionada

Briego Vendimia Seleccionada is a young red wine from the D.O Ribera del Duero produced by the Briego winery. This is a single variety wine, made exclusively with the Tempranillo grape variety.

 

All of the grapes used for Briego Vendimia Seleccionada come from the same vineyard: El Bercial. After the harvest has been carried out manually, the grapes are transported to the winery with care, to ensure that they are not damaged or broken during transit, avoiding premature fermentations.

At the winery, the grapes are left to ferment for 2 weeks in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of 20ºC. The winemaking and production process follows traditional methods, drawing on the years of experience and successful techniques already used in the Ribera del Duero region.

After the various phases of the winemaking process have been carried out, Briego Vendimia Seleccionada is aged for 8 months in French and American oak barrels.
 

The Briego winery was founded back in 1992. Their wines show a great balance between a good intensity, strong character, and a marked character.

2023

Briego Vendimia Seleccionada 2023 is a red wine with an enticing bluish-red hue and a brilliance that renders it vibrant and lively. Its aroma is a delight of fresh fruits, with wild strawberries and reineta apples taking centre stage, accompanied by a subtle floral and balsamic touch. Upon tasting, its fruity and juicy flavour captivates, leaving a lingering impression reminiscent of fruit salad. With a modern style and full texture, it offers a delectable and enveloping experience.
2022

Briego Vendimia Seleccionada 2022 is an exuberant red that captivates at first glance with its deep violet-blue hue. As you draw closer, it envelops you with the vibrant aromas of wild strawberries and crisp Granny Smith apples, enhanced by delicate hints of white blossoms and balsamic notes. Upon tasting, its fruit-forward and delectable flavour ensnares you, offering an immersive and contemporary experience. You will relish the lingering fruit salad aftertaste that renders each sip a luscious and glyceric delight.
2014 Varietal and fruity reminiscences (notably blackberries and wild strawberries) are prominent. It displays a silky, enveloping, and delicate texture, exuding an air of elegance.

Ruby red with hints of tile coloration. Vibrant and pristine with a medium body.

Dark forest fruits are harmoniously blended with traces of oak aging. Spicy and balsamic notes are subtly interlaced in the background.
