About Ca' Lojera Lugana

Ca' Lojera Lugana is a white wine aged in stainless steel, crafted by Ca' Lojera using the trebbiano di lugana variety in the DOC Lugana of Lombardia, Italy. 
 
Ca' Lojera, meaning "House of Wolves" in the local dialect, alludes to the legendary presence of wolves in this region. A characteristic that has now become a hallmark of quality for this Lugana denomination. However, in this family-run winery, managed by the Tiraboschi couple, the only danger to be encountered is the irresistible allure of their wines. These are mineral-laden, fresh wines with incredible longevity.
 
Ca' Lojera Lugana originates from vineyards situated 60 metres above sea level, offering stunning views of Lake Garda. The vines are planted on predominantly clay soil with a moderately hilly terrain, and some are over 50 years old. Organic farming practices are employed, and the harvest is conducted manually in small crates with selection in the vineyard. 
 
In the winery, the grapes for Ca' Lojera Lugana are traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. The wine then ages on its lees in these same steel tanks before bottling.
 
Ca' Lojera Lugana is a masterpiece that exemplifies the essence of DOC Lugana like few others. A savoury, fresh, and mineral wine, with a pronounced typicity and without overly pretentious refinements.
