About Can Feixes Tradició Crianza

Can Feixes Tradició Crianza is a red wine produced by the winery Huguet de Can Feixes in the D.O Penedès.

This is a family run winery, located in Cabrera d'Anoia, the most northern part of the Penedès.

Can Feixes Tradició Crianza is a blend of the varieties Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The grapes originate from land owned by the winery, from the estate Can Feixes, situatd in the mountains that separate the regions of the Penedès and L'Anoia.

For production, after a careful destemming process, the must is fermented and macerated in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature.

After the winemaking procedures, Can Feixes Tradició Crianza is aged in 225l oak barrels for 12 months, where it will be aged for a further 3 years in the bottle in an underground cellar.

2009 Can Feixes Tradició Crianza 2009 is a mature, complex and structured red wine. This vintage highlights the excellent balance between fruity aromas, ripe red fruit and the notes of aging, plus elegant toasting with spicy notes. On the palate it is voluminous, intense and with a very lingering finish.
2008 Potent attack, with good body and volume. The mid-palate is velvety and somewhat dry. Fine fruity sensations. Very good acidity. Long and persistent finish.

Cherry red with a garnet red rim. Clean and bright.

Large aromatic intensity, red fruits combined with balsamic, spicy and smoked notes.
