About Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova

Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova is a barrel-aged red wine made by Casanova di Neri in the Italian denomination of DOCG Brunello di Montalcino (Tuscany) with the native Sangiovese variety.

Azienda Agricola Casanova di Neri is a project started by Giovanni Neri in 1971 on the outskirts of Montalcino (Tuscany) with 12 hectares of vineyards. A family winery that started with finding the land with the best exposure and that has now grown to 63 hectares with an excellent international reputation.

Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova comes from unique vineyards lying at 250 to 300 metres above sea level. They are cultivated using traditional agriculture and the vine yield is limited to produce an excellent Sangiovese grape. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.

The Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova wine first macerates and ferments for about 23 days and then ages in small oak barrels for 24-30 months. Once bottled, it rests in the winery for a minimum of one year before being sold.

Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova is a wine that requires patience. It is not for drinking straight away. But your wait will be worth it, and for some people, this is part of what makes this one of the best Brunello di Montalcino wines.

2015 Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova 2015 is a concentrated red wine with intense aromas of ripe red and black fruit, herbal notes and subtle toasted touches. On the palate it is firm, rich and elegant. A well balanced wine with a silky texture and perfectly integrated tannins. The finish is long, persistent and very pleasant.
