About Castellroig Reserva Brut Nature

"Wine is the liquid landscape of the land." It is under this declaration of intent that Marcel Sabaté i Coca has meticulously analysed his 45 hectares of vineyards located in the north of l'Alt Penedès. A total of 18 distinct soils across 72 plots are masterfully combined when crafting his wines, as if they were culinary ingredients, at the family estate Castellroig Sabaté i Coca since 1985. An 18th-century fortified farmhouse where the soil is predominantly red, and where he applies all the empirically acquired knowledge from his ancestors. The result is unique and original terroir wines. As he himself says, "Every vintage is the result of what the land gives me each year; one simply has to know how to listen to it."

Belonging to the collective brand of quality sparkling wines Corpinnat, we are introduced to Castellroig Reserva Brut Nature, a sparkling wine born from the three classic varieties macabeo, parellada, and xarel·lo sourced from three of their own terroirs (Cuitor, Sabaté, and Marsera). Vines cultivated according to ecological principles and hand-harvested at the end of the ripening cycle. In the winery, each variety is vinified separately with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The blend is then created and undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, following the traditional method with a minimum ageing of 30 months before disgorgement.

Castellroig Reserva Brut Nature is the result of Marcel's passion, honesty, and commitment to his land. A faithful interpretation of the terroir under the registered mark of excellence Corpinnat.

Castellroig Reserva Brut Nature is a lusciously creamy sparkling wine with subtle aromas of apple and grapefruit, complemented by exquisite hints of jasmine and delicate pastry nuances. On the palate, it is vivacious, light-bodied, and exceedingly dry. An elegant corpinnat with exceptionally fine bubbles, it delivers balance, fruitiness, and a commanding presence.
