About Ceretto Dolcetto d'Alba Rossana

Ceretto Dolcetto d’Alba Rossana is an organic Dolcetto variety red wine made in the DOC Dolcetto d’Alba, in Piedmont (Italy) by the Ceretto winery.

Three generations have built Ceretto, a winery with more than 70 years of experience and a leading producer of high quality Piedmont wines. The Ceretto family has a wide selection of plots, which means that every year they are able to produce wines from great denominations in the prestigious Langhe area. A wide range with a great international reputation.

Ceretto Dolcetto d’Alba Rossana comes from a spectacular plot on the outskirts of the Italian municipality of Alba (Piedmont). This area of northern Italy is known for growing the native Dolcetto variety. Organic farming is practiced without the use of synthetic chemicals and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.

In the winery, Ceretto Dolcetto d’Alba Rossana is vinified in a way that enhances the characteristics of the Dolcetto variety. To do this, the grapes first ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and paying special attention to keeping the macerations relatively short.

Although the name Dolcetto means small and sweet, Ceretto Dolcetto d’Alba Rossana is actually a dry, fruity and very light red wine. An easy to drink “rosso” wine.

Ceretto Dolcetto d'Alba Rossana 2022 unfurls a charming bouquet in the glass, with bright red cherries taking center stage. These are interwoven with subtle floral hints of lavender and violets, complemented by a gentle caress of sweet almonds that add a layer of complexity. On the palate, its youthful exuberance shines through with a juicy and vibrant profile, delivering a crisp and forthright tasting experience that beckons another sip. This red wine is a pure and approachable expression of the Dolcetto varietal.
2018 Ceretto Dolcetto d’Alba Rossana 2018 is a juicy red wine with intense aromas of fresh red fruit combined with delicate floral notes and spicy touches. On the palate it is light, flavoursome and fruity with a fairly long and very pleasant finish.
