The chalky tannins will be quite a spectacle in Château Dalem 2022, an easy-to-drink red wine with a wonderful fruit centre. The nose is fruity and intense, with cherries, floral notes and oak. The palate is racy, with a very tasty acidity. Velvety texture. Long and saline finish, very persistent.

About Château Dalem

The Fronsac AOC is one of the areas in France with the greatest potential. For the last 15 years, this region, located about 30 km from Bordeaux, has been immersed in a continuous renewal and expansion, where the very wealthy and the investors who are able to see all the benefits of this territory are undoubtedly the main players. One of these visionaries is Brigitte Rullier, owner of Château Dalem.

Although Brigitte Rullier is not a newcomer (Château Dalem has been in her family's hands since 1955), she has always been committed to continuing the continuous transformation and improvement already started by her father, Michel Rullier. Thus, when she took over in 2002, the construction of a new winery and barrel room to produce her wines was inevitable. ‘Hand in hand, we continue the family adventure to make Château Dalem shine even brighter.’

Château Dalem thus becomes one of the best wines on the right bank, with a rustic style, fruity and rich in tannins, making it a perfect red for aging. Obviously, this character arises from its terroir, where clay soils and limestone are mixed. Likewise, the location of its 22 hectares, right at the confluence of the rivers Isle and Dordogne, explains the influence of a microclimate characterised by hot summers, dry winters and warm, temperate autumns, where the grapes can properly ripen.

Finally, at the Château Dalem winery, the wine is vinified in concrete and stainless steel tanks and then transferred to wooden barrels for aging. This last step will be fundamental, as Château Dalem owes all its character and radiance to the wood.
