About Château l'Evangile

Château l'Evangile is a wood-aged red wine made by Château l'Evangile with the Merlot and Cabernet Franc varieties in the AOC Pomeral, in Bordeaux (France).

Château l'Evangile is an old project that was established in Pomerol in the mid-18th century. Having been owned by different wine-growing families, Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) took over running the estate in 1990.  Classified and considered a “Premier Cru del Alto-Pomerol”, their main objective is to ensure the quality of the terroirs remains high and then reflecting these terroirs perfectly in their wines.

Château l'Evangile comes from old vines planted in clay soils and cultivated using environmentally friendly methods. The grapes are vinified in the winery with native yeasts and the wine ages for 18 months in French oak barrels.

Château l'Evangile is a “Grand Vin de Bordeaux” made in a “Premier Cru del Alto-Pomerol”. A red wine with an impressive bouquet and finesse.
