About Château La Lagune

For Caroline Frey, oenologist and proprietor of Château La Lagune, each of her wines tells a story. For many years, she has been dedicated to establishing biodynamic viticulture in her vineyards with the aim of preserving their natural heritage, capturing the essence of the terroir, and safeguarding the health of all the vintners working there. From this philosophy, Château La Lagune is born.

Château La Lagune is a red wine blend of cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, and merlot, crafted under the AOC Haut-Médoc in Bordeaux, France. The history of this estate dates back to 1525 with the founding of the village of La Lagune, right beside the natural water springs that later, in 1587, transformed into a wine estate that has yielded remarkable results thanks to its light gravel soils, where calcite, agates, and pink, yellow, and white quartz intermingle.

The grape clusters used to produce Château La Lagune come from vineyards with gravelly soils, cultivated under organic farming principles, where manual harvesting is conducted to meticulously preserve the integrity of the grapes. Upon arrival at the winery, a traditional vinification process takes place with fermentations under controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The resulting wine undergoes an ageing process of approximately 14 months, depending on the vintage, with 50% of the wine resting in new French oak barrels.

Allow yourself to be captivated by the elegance of Haut-Médoc. Experience Château La Lagune.
