About Cirsión

Cirsion is produced by Bodegas Roda, one of the greatest of La Rioja.

This wine is made from a meticulous and carefully selected selection of grapes from the winery´s vineyards, since the grapes must meet very specific characteristics. This is done after a careful monitoring of the vines and selected one by one the vines with the best conditions to make this great Rioja wine. It ferments in oak vats at a controlled temperature and is aged in new French oak barrels for 8 months. It is clarified with egg whites.

A wine that must be decanted at least two hours before serving.

2021

Cirsion 2021 embodies sheer sophistication and character. 2019 Cirsion 2019 is an intense and complex red wine with stand out aromas of black fruits on the nose, with some hints of red fruits accompanied by floral notes (violets), spices (clove, pepper), light smoky notes, cocoa and liquorice. The palate is enveloping and light, where the fruit continues to be the protagonist, nuanced by very fine tannins and a spicy character. An elegant red wine that offers a vintage that has captured all the details of the landscape and is undoubtedly one of the most complete in its history.
2018

Cirsion 2018 is a deep, purple-red hued red wine. The bouquet is enigmatic and multifaceted, with nuances of petite fruits (both black and red) laid upon a mineral and floral backdrop (violets). On the palate, it is full-bodied and expansive, brimming with subtleties. Delightful and vibrant. Silken texture. Prolonged finish.
2009 Excellent wine with a wide and very bulky attack. It has a very long and silky, tasty and fresh mid palate, with balanced notes wrapped in very creamy aromas. Very nice and gentle wine with ripe, perfectly integrated tannins. Very long finish with a great persistence and a sensational aftertaste.  A great wine!

Deep cherry colour with dark reflections. Well covered wine with elegant slow-falling tears.

Intense, complex and seductive aromas. Its abundant notes of ripe, juicy fruit is released along with elegant toasted aromas, a wide range of creamy spices, chocolate, wet earth, balsamic aromas and smoked hints and other aromas provided by the wood. An amazing aromatic set.
2007

Impressive attack. Greedy and comprehensive. Creamy, velvety, tasty and fresh mid palate. Sweet and ripe tannins. Very balanced wine with notes of a great quality ageing. Long and persistent finish with all the sensations perceived in the nose.




Very dark cherry color, with scarlet trim. Intense and bright, with abundant legs.

Great intensity and aromatic complexity. Abundant ripe red and black fruit with fine notes of toasted (typical of high-quality ageing). Lactic notes with hints of spicy, bitter chocolate and a balsamic touch of fresh mint,... All those feelings that we would like to find in a wine like this.
2004 In the mouth, the volume is huge surprise how much structure can be combined with such gentleness. Flood of aromas and flavors that caress the palate and persist back to the nose through the back. Thanks a decanting several hours before consumption, particularly in young vintages.
