About Clos de Torribas Reserva

Clos de Torribas Reserva is a red wine produced by Bodegues Pinord in Vilafranca de Penedès, D.O.Penedès.

Bodegues Pinord is a family-run winery with over 150 years of history in the winemaking industry. In 1942, they built the winery in Vilafranca del Penedès, next to the railway station, just 4 km from the original farm. From there, they sent their wines in bulk all over Spain, and the fact of being near the station made this task easier. The winery had a pipe that went under the tracks to fill the vats of the trains that carried the wine.

Currently, Bodegues Pinord produces wines in different winemaking regions, using organic cultivation. Generation after generation, the philosophy of the Tetas family can summarised as: family tradition, pioneering and innovative spirit, love for the land and passion for good wine.

Clos de Torribas Reserva is a wine made with Tempranillo from their own vineyards.

After the harvest, grapes are fermented and macerated for around 15 days in stainless steel deposits. Once the different racking processes have been carried out for the clarification and stabilisation, the wine is aged in oak barrels for one year. The time the wine spends in the bottle is of a minimum of 2 years.

Clos de Torribas Reserva is a robust and intense wine. The toasted aromas from the ageing stand out, on a background of ripe black fruit. In the mouth, it shows its body with character and elegance.
