Clos i Terrasses Laurel Blanc 2024 is a subtle and evocative wine. It boasts an enticing lemon peel hue that invites one to explore its intricate aromas. On the nose, notes of white fruits, such as pear and apple, unfold, harmonised with a hint of Mediterranean vegetation, where rosemary and thyme mingle with spicy accents of ginger and an intriguing minerality. On the palate, it is rich and smooth, displaying excellent expressiveness with a palette of fruity nuances and delicate herbal touches. Its elegant structure is crowned with a lingering finish. It stands out for its aromatic complexity and the freshness it imparts with each sip.

About Clos i Terrasses Laurel Blanc

In the 1990s, Priorat (Catalonia) transformed from a well-kept secret into a global phenomenon. Its steep licorella slopes—those slate-rich landscapes—produced rustic wines that were challenging to export... until a group of visionaries arrived to revolutionise everything. They replanted garnacha and cariñena, modernised techniques, and turned the region into a byword for international quality and prestige.

Among them was Daphne Glorian, a Parisian of Swiss-German descent, a pioneering woman who fell in love with Priorat during the 90s boom. Her influence is still felt today in legendary wines such as Clos Erasmus and Laurel, which shine globally.

Now, her project Clos i Terrasses takes a further step with Laurel Blanc, her first aged white wine. A wine of exceptional character that seamlessly blends tradition and modernity, reflecting Daphne's philosophy: respecting the land, listening to the vineyard, and expressing its essence with elegance.

Laurel Blanc is a blend of garnacha blanca with small proportions of chenin and viognier, sourced from a new 13-hectare plot in les Manyetes, Gratallops. Each cluster is hand-selected, 100% destemmed, cold-macerated for 24 hours, and spontaneously fermented in French barrels and clay amphorae.

After 7 months of ageing in 400-litre barrels and amphorae, the wine exhibits freshness, complexity, and the unmistakable elegance of Clos i Terrasses. Laurel Blanc is a white wine that combines personality, terroir, and the boldness of a woman who has shaped the history of a wine region. It is the celebration of a modern, pioneering, and feminine Priorat.

On the nose, notes of fruits such as peach and apricot unfold, balanced with a subtly citrus hint reminiscent of grapefruit.
