Coca i Fitó Maragda 2018 is an elegant and balanced red wine, distinguished by its identity and complexity. On the nose, floral aromas of roses and tart red and black fruits such as pomegranate and cherry unfold, accompanied by subtle notes of herbs, sweet spices, and a delicate hint of tobacco and chocolate. On the palate, it presents as fresh and fleshy, with an enveloping smoothness that highlights the spicy and balsamic notes, blended with Mediterranean herbal nuances like rosemary and bay leaf, and a slight coffee aftertaste. A wine with velvety tannins, freshness, and persistence.

About Coca i Fitó Maragda

A new vintage from Jaspi Maragda, a vintage that has been classified as 'very good' from D.O. Montsant. Jaspi Maragda is a red wine produced by Coca i Fitó Celler, a winery that was born in 2006 with the intention of only producing wine which can convey the identity of the area, D.O. Montsant. The brothers Coca i Fitó form a good partnership as Toni Coca has a long history of winemaking and Miquel Coca manages the image and marketing of the winery.
With Jaspi Maragda they have managed to find a good balance between aromatic freshness, concentration and maturity.
This wine is a coupage of 55% Garnacha, 25% Cariñena and 20% Syrah grown from old vines between 40 to 100 years old. Finally, this wine undergoes an aging in French and American oak barrels for 12 months.

Coca i Fitó Maragda 2018 is an elegant and balanced red wine, distinguished by its identity and complexity. 2011 On the palate there are ripe and soft tannins. The final is persistent and pleasant.

Intense cherry picota colour.

On the nose there are ripe red and black fruit aromas with herbal, spice and balsamic notes which are all well integrated.
2010 Ripe, fresh, velvety, soft tannins stand out. Good persistence and very enjoyable on the palate.

Intense deep cherry colour.

Ripe red and black fruit. Herbal notes and sweet spices. A delicate wine, yet fleshy and full-bodied. Intense notes of ripe red fruit, spices and balsamic touches, all very well integrated as if they were one aroma.
