About Colet Navazos Brut Nature Etiqueta Naranja

Colet Navazos Brut Nature is a sparkling wine with D.O. Penedés produced by the winery Colet Vins in Pacs del Penedés, located 40 km from Barcelona.

It has been more than two centuries since the Colet family started to look after their vineyards, located in the heart of Penedés. However, it was not until the beginning of the nineties that the brand Colet Vins was born.

Josep and Sergi Colet, who currently manage the family-run business, have pursued to create their wines with a traditional production system since the very beginning, but also taking advantage of the most modern and respectful cultivation and winemaking techniques.

It is worth mentioning that they were one of the first wineries to leave the D.O. Cava aside and attain the D.O. Penedés, currently Clàssic Penedès. This means that its sparkling wines are organic, that they are left 15 months in the bottle and that their label indicates their disgorgement date.

Colet Navazos Brut Nature is a joint project between Colet Vins and Equipo Navazos (a company specialised in Sherry wines).  

It is made from a base wine, 100% Xarello, and it goes through a second fermentation in the bottle with a minimum ageing of 29 months. When it is disgorged, Palo Cortado and Amontillado are added to the liqueur d'expédition.

 

 

2021 Colet Navazos Brut Nature Etiqueta Naranja 2021 is a sparkling gem that encapsulates the spirit of adventure. On the nose, it entices with its aromas of ripe fruit such as golden apple and pear, intertwined with subtle floral notes and a hint of toast reminiscent of freshly baked brioche. Upon tasting, it envelops you with a pleasant creaminess combined with a vibrant acidity that awakens your senses. The finish is long, leaving an enveloping sensation akin to a delicate dessert. This sparkling wine is perfect for those who appreciate the balance between freshness and complexity. Its well-defined character turns every glass into a celebration.

Colet Navazos Brut Nature 2020 is a sparkling wine featuring a fine and persistent effervescence. Its nose unfolds with complexity, revealing intense aromas of ripe white fruits alongside hints of fresh grass and an elegant smoky, mineral undertone. On the palate, it is fresh and smooth, with a firm mineral structure that provides good persistence. Initially somewhat reductive and austere, its notes of yeast, apple, and balsamic and floral nuances evolve over time. With bottle ageing, its sherry-like character intensifies and amplifies.

Colet Navazos Extra Brut 2017 is a dry, balanced and fresh sparkling wine. A light and refreshing mid-palate that leads us to a dry and complex finish, with the marked Andalusian accent of the Palo Cortado.
