About Com Tu

Com Tu is a red wine produced by the winery Clos Mogador in Gratallops, D.O.Montsant.

Com Tu is the smallest of L’Espectacle, a project by René Barbier with his son Anderson Barbier. Anderson, in love with the area of La Figuera and its potential, alongside the possibility of starting this adventure with his father, decided to make his first wine and enter the world of wine successfully.

La Figuera is an area that is 100% dedicated to the Grenache, both old and young vines. It is located between 500 and 600 metres of altitude in a very cool area, with calcareous, white and red clay soils.

Com tu is a tribute to all those people, no matter their colour, sex, appearance. Disabled or not, with money or without, with education or vocation...

A tribute reflected in the ambiguity of the label, designed by a great artist, his mother Isabel.

Com tu is a wine made from 100% Grenache, from a vineyard called Miramar, right next to L'Espectacle, situated in a very cool area, La Figuera.

Miramar is located at around 580 metres of altitude, on white and red clay soils, and white calcareous ground, with vines that are between 35 and 50 years old, and some of the even 100 years. They share their surroundings with apple trees, almond trees and a small country house.

Harvesting is carried out manually, selecting the grapes in the vineyard. Once the grapes arrive at the winery, they ferment in wooden foudres, where they remain for 18 months.

The total production is of 3000 bottles.

2018

Com Tu 2018 is a red wine of distinct character. On the nose, it presents an array of fruit (cherry, redcurrant, blackberry) intertwined with hints of licorice. The palate is rather supple, infused with herbaceous and mineral flavors that contribute to its refreshing quality. The tannins are robust, succulent, and fleshy. It is both crisp and delectably rich.
2017 Com tu is a red wine with complex aromas on the nose where notes of red and black fruits are accompanied by an interesting citrus hue reminiscent of orange peel, and a mineral touch. On the palate it is delicate but full-bodied with refined tannins and very well-integrated wood, which allows the fruit to express itself honestly and with a hue of freshness. It is an elegant and flavoursome wine.
2016 Com Tu is an expressive, concentrated and fresh wine. Its long ageing in foudres has given it complexity, highlighting its minerality and the aromas of red fruit with notes of orange peel. A worthy descendant of the great L'Espectacle.
