About Cruz de Alba Crianza

Cruz de Alba Crianza is a red wine from the Ribera del Duero produced by the Cruz de Alba winery, part of the Zamora Group. The winery, founded in 2003, is in Quintanilla de Onesimo (Valladolid). With its name, similar to the chivalry that populated the Leon lands during the Middle Ages, the winery pays tribute to the history of the area.

Cruz de Alba Crianza is a single varietal Tempranillo. The vineyards are in the plots of Hoyales, near Penafiel, planted on terraces of limestone surface.

The development of Cruz de Alba Crianza begins with a harvest and manual selection of grapes. Once in the wine cellar, the wine undergoes a maceration and traditional fermentation.

Finally, the wine is aged in barrels of French and American oak for 15 months and rests in the bottle for ten months.

2012 Powerful and tasty. Well structured, full-bodied and round step. Well-integrated tannins and good acidity. Fruity with toasted memories.

Dark and intense cherry red.

Medium to high intensity. Aromas of ripe black fruit (berries) with toast and coffee notes. Balsamic and herbaceous flavours.
