Cuatro Rayas Verdejo 1935 is a single-variety Verdejo white wine made by the Cuatro Rayas winery in the D.O. Rueda, in Valladolid, Spain.
 
1935 was a year of uncertainty, a politically difficult time that soon led to a Civil War in Spain. This was a year when men and women, wine-growing families from the village of La Seca, in Valladolid, decided to join forces to get the best out of their work in the vineyard. This collaboration resulted in the creation of Bodega Cooperativa La Seca, as Cuatro Rayas was known to begin with.
 
The Cuatro Rayas Verdejo 1935 wine is made as a tribute to all those men and women who courageously decided to join forces and, despite the difficult situation before and during the Spanish Civil War, did not lose their determination to preserve their legacy, the fruit of the land where they were born.
 
To make the Cuatro Rayas Verdejo 1935 wine, they use Verdejo clusters from old vines. When they reach the winery, they are cold macerated for five hours. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts and under controlled temperatures of no more than 15ºC. 
 
Cuatro Rayas Verdejo 1935 is a fresh, well-structured white wine made through simplicity, which pays homage to the work and offers an authentic experience of the Verdejo variety.
