About Dehesa de los Canónigos

Dehesa de los Canónigos Crianza is a red wine from Ribera del Duero produced by Bodega Dehesa de los Canónigos. The winery, founded in 1988, is situated on the River Duero, Pesquera del Duero (Valladolid).

Dehesa de los Canónigos Crianza is a blend of Tinto Fino (88%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (12%).

As for the process, the harvest and grape selection are done manually. Once in the winery, and after a traditional fermentation process, Dehesa de los Canónigos Crianza is aged for 15 months in medium toasted and fine grain American oak barrels.

Dehesa de los Canónigos Crianza 2022 is a vibrant cherry-hued red wine that stands out for its concentrated and well-balanced profile. Upon bringing it to the nose, one can detect intense fruit aromas, such as raspberries and blueberries, accompanied by a subtle toasted hint, a result of its time spent in barrels. On the palate, it reveals a structured and refined presence, caressing the taste buds without being overly robust, providing a pleasant and rounded experience.

Dehesa de los Canónigos Crianza 2021 is a red wine with a deep cherry-red hue. On the nose, it presents medium-high intensity with balsamic aromas and aromatic herbs, accompanied by dark fruits such as blackberries, brambles, and blackcurrants. Notes of blackcurrant leaf, black plum, and liquorice are also discernible. On the palate, it is succulent and powerful, with excellent acidity. Balsamic notes, eucalyptus, and a delightful black pepper stand out. It is a broad, persistent, and concentrated wine.                      
2015 Dehesa de los Canónigos 2015 is a deep, intense and complex wine. A vintage of great quality that provides a balance between maturity and freshness. On the nose, the marked notes of its aging stand out above the ripe red fruit. On the palate it is full, with a good mid-palate and a lingering finish.
2012 Tasty and enveloping entrance, well integrated wood, balanced acidity and round tannins. Long finish.

Bright garnet and ruby edge. Intense and deep.

Good aromatic intensity, aromas of black fruit with toast and liquorice notes on a herbal background and something sweet.
2011 Very round with a high concentration of flavours from the grape varieties. Good combination of tannins from the wood and the fruit. Tasty, structured and balanced. Persistent finish.

Very fruity right from the beginning. Gradually gains in complexity with toasted notes, liquorice and chocolate appearing, resulting in a range of expressive aromas.
