About Deutz Amour de Deutz Brut

By the late 19th century, the reputation of Champagne was at stake. Numerous producers from other regions of France—and even beyond—began labelling their sparkling wines as “Champagne,” despite not originating from the region nor adhering to traditional techniques. This not only baffled consumers but also jeopardised the credibility of genuine producers who had devoted generations to perfecting their craft. The passion and commitment to tradition were being undermined, along with the love for excellence in every bottle.

The response came in 1882 with the establishment of the Syndicat des Grandes Marques, a historic association of the most prestigious Champagne houses. Its mission was clear: to protect and promote the reputation of quality Champagne, ensuring that its members adhered to stringent standards of excellence in production, labelling, and marketing. Only the most reputable maisons, such as Deutz, Bollinger, Moët & Chandon, or Veuve Clicquot, could be part of it. Being a member of the Syndicat remains today a mark of prestige and a guarantee of authenticity, a commitment to tradition perceived as an act of love towards Champagne and its enthusiasts.

In the historic region of Aÿs, the cradle of terroir and tradition, lies Deutz, a maison with nearly two centuries of history that has mastered the blend of technique, passion, and elegance. Each bottle is an exemplar of classicism: respect for tradition, extended ageing, and an obsession with quality, transforming each sparkling wine into accessible luxury and a gesture of love for those who appreciate excellence.

Amour de Deutz Brut epitomises this philosophy perfectly. Crafted with chardonnay from carefully selected plots of the A.O.C. Champagne and aged for 96 months on lees, every sip reflects balance, precision, and sophistication. The prolonged ageing allows the wine to develop complexity, finesse in its bubbles, and an elegance that defies time, becoming a true act of love bottled.

Just as the Syndicat des Grandes Marques safeguards the authenticity of Champagne, Amour de Deutz Brut embodies modern classicism: sophisticated, precise, passionate, and utterly irresistible.
