About Domaine Patrick & Christophe Bonnefond 'Sensations du Nord' Syrah

Although Domaine Bonnefond is a family winery that stands out for its excellent terroirs in Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu, they also made wines from vineyards planted around the edges of these Rhone denominations that are a real treat. Domaine Bonnefond Syrah is an example of this, a wood-aged Syrah made in the IGP Collines Rhodaniennes, which is full of fruit and freshness.

To make this wine, brothers Patrick and Christophe Bonnefond have been working with dedication since 1990 on the family estate with 10 hectares of vineyards. Domaine Bonnefond Syrah comes from vines planted on clay and slate soils that are carefully cultivated. Once the grapes have been manually harvested, they are transferred to the winery to begin vinification in stainless steel tanks and aged in barrels for 12 months.

The result is very satisfactory. Domaine Bonnefond Syrah is a sweet and fresh choice for Syrah lovers. The perfect alternative for those who prefer a less dense and more smooth wine than we are used to with this variety.

2019

Domaine Bonnefond Syrah 2019 is a concentrated wine with aromas of ripe red and black fruits accompanied by deliciously spicy notes. On the palate it is fresh, crisp and round. A sweet wine with a crisp acidity, fine tannins and a long, persistent finish.
