The bouquet unfolds with intense notes of ripe black fruits, such as blackberries and plums, accompanied by the essence of scrubland, cistus flowers, and a hint of liquorice that adds mystery and depth. About Domaine de la Solitude Tradition Châteauneuf du Pape Rouge

“El vino de la soledad”, the most personal novel by Irène Némirovsky, published in 1935, is an intense tale of family, secrets, and suppressed emotions. It narrates the story of a wealthy Russian family taking refuge in Paris and the silent revenge of a daughter against her mother, exploring how familial bonds shape life, memory, and identity.

That same depth and complexity are found in Domaine de la Solitude Tradition Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge, crafted by the historic Famille Lançon, whose origins trace back to the 13th century. Its name, “La Solitude”, evokes one of the most celebrated vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where patience, time, and meticulous attention to detail shape grapes with unique character and elegance. Moreover, it is a nod to Paul Martin, an ancestor of the family and a pioneer in bottling his wine in the 18th century under the name “Vin de la Solitude”.

Hailing from the estate of the same name, a 15-hectare terroir with galets roulés soils and a Mediterranean climate with continental influence, this Châteauneuf-du-Pape blends Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Counoise, and Cinsault under a strict regime of organic farming. Fermentation takes place in concrete vats with a maceration period of approximately 30 days, followed by 15 months of aging in oak barrels and concrete tanks.

The result is Domaine de la Solitude Tradition Châteauneuf du Pape Rouge, a wine with body, personality, and elegance, inviting reflection and contemplation, capable of conveying with every sip the same richness of nuances as the great terroirs. A red to be savoured slowly, much like reading great novels; allowing each note and memory to unfold gently.
