Domaine Georges Vernay Condrieu Les Terrasses de l'Empire is a Viognier variety white wine made in the AOC Condrieu by Georges Vernay.

Domaine Georges Vernay was set up in 1953 by the man known as the great father of the Condrieu denomination, Georges Vernay. Today, Christine Verny, the third generation of this great winemaking family, continues with her grandfather's approach in a fantastic 19th-century building surrounded by 16 hectares of vineyards: 7 of Condrieu, 3 of Côte-Rôtie and 6 of Saint-Joseph, used to make world-renowned white and red wines.

Domaine Georges Vernay Condrieu Les Terrasses de l'Empire comes from a 4.5 hectare plot with granite soil and facing southeast. The vineyard lies on terraces, which means machinery cannot be used, and all the work is manual. They use environmentally-friendly agriculture and no herbicides and insecticides. When the grapes are ripe, the harvest is carried out manually and in boxes.

In the winery, the Domaine Georges Vernay Condrieu Les Terrasses de l'Empire grapes undergo a direct pressing. After a temperature controlled static settling, a small part ferments in barrels and the rest in stainless steel tanks.
