About Domaine Lamarche Côte de Nuits Villages

We are all aware that the Côte-de-Nuits has long been a genuine dream for aficionados of the distinguished Pinot Noir. Within just a few kilometres of vineyards lie some of the most coveted terroirs on the planet: intensity, precision, delicacy… and, for many years, a tradition almost exclusively led by men. Fortunately, times are changing, and more women are not only stepping up but also raising the bar of excellence and sensitivity in this legendary land. One such woman is Nicole Lamarche, heir to a family history dating back to 1797, who today embodies the present and future of Domaine Lamarche.

Located in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, the domaine encompasses 11.23 hectares spread across Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc, with an organic working philosophy since 2010. Nicole Lamarche assumed technical leadership following the tragic passing of her father François in 2013, and in 2018 she decided to sign the wines under her own name. 

Among her most accessible and representative gems is Domaine Lamarche Côte de Nuits Villages. Vinified from Pinot Noir, the harvest is destemmed between 80% and 100% depending on the vintage, with a maceration period of 15 to 18 days in open oak vats. Finally, the ageing process extends between 16 and 20 months in oak barrels, with a proportion of new wood that can reach up to 100%.
