About Domaine Rostaing Les Lézardes Blanc

Domaine Rostaing Les Lézardes Blanc is a white wine made by Domaine Rostaing with the Viognier variety in the IGP Collines Rhodaniennes.

René Rostaing, an entrepreneur and oenologist, is a key winemaking figure in the Côte Rôtie area (France). He currently owns almost 20 plots of vineyards. A wealth of terroirs that allows him to make an amazing variety of wines. All traditional wines, but with a touch of his innovation, always with the aim of making expressive wines. 

In the vineyard, Rostaing is fully aware of the importance of the terroir and its influence on the wines. The slopes here are very steep and south-facing. The soils are very diverse and are mainly based on clay, limestone, silica and iron oxides. That is why plots are separated by exposure, vine age and soil composition. Yield is also limited to 35 hectolitres per hectare. The Domaine Rostaing Les Lézardes Blanc harvest is carried out manually.

In the winery, the Domaine Rostaing Les Lézardes Blanc grape passes over the selection table and, depending on the conditions of each vintage, sometimes 100% of the fruit is destemmed and sometimes only some of it is. It then undergoes alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts. It is bottled without filtering.

Domaine Rostaing Les Lézardes Blanc is a juicy, meaty and refreshing white wine. A simple and immediate pleasure.

Domaine Rostaing Les Lézardes Blanc 2017 is an aromatic white wine with aromas of stone fruits and wild flowers on the nose. On the palate it offers volume and freshness with succulent ripe fruits such as apricots and apples.
