E. Guigal Condrieu is a white wine made by Domaine E. Guigal. It is a monovarietal Viognier from the AOC Condrieu, in the Rhone.

Domaine E. Guigal is a family winery in theRhone founded in 1946. Via the AOC Condrieu the winery promoted the cultivation of Viognier in France, and in this small denomination, only monovarietals of this strain are currently produced.

The vineyards for M. Guigal Condrieu have an average age of 30 years, their soils are of sand and granite and they are laid out in terraces. Their average yield is 39 hectolitres per hectare and the climate in the area is continental with Mediterranean influence.

E. Guigal Condrieu is vinified in stainless steel tanks and barrels. The wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation to lower the acidity a little and provide it with slight lactic touches. The wine is then aged for 12 to 18 months in French oak barrels.

2019 E. Guigal Condrieu 2019 is a white wine that forthrightly presents the aromatic hallmarks of the Viognier grape on the nose. One can discern the scents of white peach and apricot, complemented by floral undertones (violets) and hints of citrus. On the palate, it reveals a delightful fullness and silkiness. This white wine is fleshy, with a subtle and pleasing acidity, exuding both delicacy and elegance.
2016 E. Guigal Condrieu 2016 is a white wine with intense aromas of violets, apricot, peach and citrus. On the palate it is fresh, rounded, rich and unctuous, with a great body. A harmonious wine that is delicate and elegant with a slight acidity and hints of fleshy fruit.
