About El Transistor

Wine by Telmo Rodríguez produced in the region of Rueda, where they already produce Basa. This wine is born as a result of the curiosity and research of Telmo. His objective is to extract the pureness and the tradition from the Verdejo.

Why the name of El Transistor? To deter the wild boars that visited the vineyards of the region during the night, they placed a transistor next to the vineyards.

Produced from old vineyards, they continue to use a recovered traditional method, characterized by a gentle fermentation with local yeasts and a subsequent ageing for 9 months in oak barrels of different sizes.

An authentic wine, with great complexity and elegance, where the wood does not take over.

2020

El Transistor 2020 is a sophisticated, single-varietal white wine. On the nose, it exhibits herbaceous and floral notes, ripe fruit, anise, and wild herbs. The palate continues to express these herbaceous and floral characteristics, complemented by a subtle bitter hint. It is unctuous and flavorsome.
2013 Fruity notes and hints of spice. Good acidity, it is fresh and clean. Long and persistent end.

Pale yellow.

Complex aromas, it is clean. It combines citrus notes, green apple and herbal touches.
2009 Very good, ample and embracing attack. It has a creamy and siky texture and a dry, fresh and tasty, very nice mid palate. Its notes of fruit, citrus and herbs are intense. Excellent acidity and a very persistent finish.

Yellow colour with waxen edges. Clean and bright wine with glyceric tears.

Very subtle nose that forms a well balanced and harmonious aromatic bouquet. The characteristic notes of stone fruits appear along with touches of citrus, elegant creamy notes of pastry and spices (vanilla). The abundant fresh herbal notes round out the nose.
2008 Very good and wide entrance. Tasty and creamy wine, with a higher presence of citrus. Good acidity, fresh. Intense and expressive, with a long and persistent finish and a fruity and slightly bitter aftertaste.

Yellow colour with a pearly sheen. Clean and bright.

Elegant and complex aromas of stone fruits (peach) and citrus together with the floral and smoky notes, which contribute to the development of a very expressive wine.
