About Fan D'Oro

A D.O. Ribera del Duero white wine by Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro.

Fan D'Oro is a single varietal Chardonnay from vineyards that are over 20 years old from the "La Planta" estate, with its clayey soil containing limestone and solid rock at less than one metre underground. The estate is located at 900 metres above sea level.
Poor soil and harsh Spanish weather conditions at this altitude result in scarce yields but also in highly concentrated grapes.

The harvest is carried out manually at the grape's optimal stage of ripeness. The bunches pass through a sorting table before being pressed lightly and slowly to maintain the wine's freshness.
Natural decanting occurs at night before the wine passes on to new French oak barrels where it ages for six months.
Racking is only performed once in order to maintain the wine's elegance intact.

Fan D'Oro 2019 is an exquisitely elegant and creamy white wine. Its bouquet is remarkably pure, exuding a profound aromatic intensity. It reveals nuances of patisserie, jasmine, apple, and dried fruits. On the palate, it is velvety, punctuated by distinctly pronounced acidity.
2017 Fan D'Oro 2017 is a creamy and balanced white wine. This vintage shows amplitude in the mouth and a very long finish. On the nose, the aromas of ripe white fruit stand out, with spices and slightly toasted notes.
