Fasoli Gino Orgno 2016 is a red wine that boasts an intense purplish-red hue with garnet reflections. Swirling the glass reveals its density. On the nose, it unfurls aromas of plums, sour cherries, blackberries, blueberries, and black cherries. On the palate, it is dry, with a juicy touch and a subtle sweetness. This Merlot is velvety and complex, with a fruity acidity that renders it fresh and vibrant, culminating in a persistent and pleasing finish.

About Fasoli Gino Orgno

In the picturesque landscape of Véneto (Italy), a region historically renowned for its white wines, the Fasoli family has, over four generations, transformed a horticultural estate into a distinguished winery producing high-quality organic wines. Dedicated to sustainability and excellence, in 1978 they embarked on cultivating merlot, an unusual variety for the area. This venture exceeded all expectations as it adapted remarkably well to the region. After a decade of meticulous experimentation and dedication, they released their first wine of this variety, upholding the high standards that define their winery.

This is how Fasoli Gino Orgno was born, a single-varietal merlot named after the vineyard from which it originates and cultivated according to ecological principles. Old vines planted in limestone, loose soils with stones and clay are hand-harvested and left to dry on wires for 80 days following local tradition. Once in the winery, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures with native yeasts. Subsequently, the wine ages for at least 4 years in French oak barrels and remains in the bottle for a further period before being released to the market.

Part of the IGT Veronese, Fasoli Gino Orgno is the merlot that breaks the mould. A wine that not only reflects the Fasoli family's commitment to quality and sustainability but also captures the essence of the Venetian terroir. A true discovery!
