About Fedellos do Couto Conasbrancas

Conasbrancas is a white wine produced by Fedellos do Couto in O Couto, Ourense, under the D.O. Ribeira Sacra.
 

The philosophy of Fedellos has been to respect the rural environment and traditional agriculture. The winery began producing 4 young wines in the magnificent setting of the Ribeira Sacra in 2013. The winery currently owns 4 hectares of vineyards situated between the Valle do Bibei and the river Sil, where they collaborate with local winegrowers. The vineyards are cultivated and worked following the principles of biodynamic agriculture and are home to native varieties.
 

Fedellos do Couto Conasbrancas is made predominantly with the Doña Blanca and Godello varieties. The vineyards are situated on the Lomba dos Ares plot, on granitic, shaley and sandy soils. The harvest is carried out manually, with fermentation carried out using its own yeasts. The wine is then aged for 12 months in (500litre) barrels without movement of the lees.
