About Fernando de Castilla Classic PX

Fernando de Castila Classic PX is a sweet wine from the Jerez region produced by Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla. This wine is produced using only Pedro Ximénez (100%) grapes.

After the harvest, the grapes used to make Fernando de Castilla Classic PX undergo a practice known as the Soleo Method, which is the practice of exposing grapes to the sun in order to concentrate their sugars and increase the alcohol content. Following this the grapes are pressed, which obtains the must, which the ferments partially alcoholically. The fermentation proccess is stopped with the addition of wine alcohol.

Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla is one of the classic spanish wineries that has a great prestige. It contains many treasures of the famous wine region of Jerez.
