About Fina Kebrilla Grillo

Grillo is one of the typical varieties of Marsala, on the west coast of Sicily (Italy). This white variety, dating back to 1800, is able to perfectly withstand high temperatures, producing aromatic and flavoursome wines with good acidity and balance, like Fina Kebrilla Grillo.

Fina Kebrilla Grillo is a smooth wine produced by Cantina Fina, a winery in the Marsala area (in the Trepani region), within the D.O.C. Grillo Sicilia. The family vineyards, tended by Bruno Fina’s sons, grow very close to the sea, between 150 and 400 metres above sea level, and are cultivated manually and organically. The predominant climate is Mediterranean, with mild winters and very hot summers. The latter is what causes the early ripening of the grapes, and they are harvested at the end of August.

On this date, the bunches are picked by hand and taken to the winery, where after pressing they are fermented in two batches: one in stainless steel tanks, and the other in barrels. The aging takes place on site, until finally, when the time comes, the wines are blended for bottling. Once in the bottle, Fina Kebrilla Grillo spends another three months waiting for the moment when it can finally accompany meals and good times, especially aperitifs.
