About Finca Los Guijarrales

Finca Los Guijarrales is a natural, single-variety Graciano red wine produced by the Goyo García Viadero winery in Castilla y León, Spain.

The grapes used to make the Finca Los Guijarrales wine come from 40-year-old plots that are cultivated under the principles of organic agriculture and lie at 880 metres above sea level in the village of La Aguilera, in Burgos, where red sand soils with boulders dominate.

The clusters are harvested during the first half of October, when they are at optimum ripeness. When they reach the winery they are destemmed without being crushed. The grapes ferment for about 15 days and macerate with their skins for three months. The resulting wine ages for twelve months in fine-grained French oak barrels, it is cold-stabilised and bottled unfiltered without added sulphites.

The Finca Los Guijarrales wine is the perfect opportunity to try a single-variety Graciano, with nothing artificial and no frills, made in an area where the Tempranillo variety dominates.

2017 Finca Los Guijarrales 2017 is a red wine with fruity aromas of cherries and other forest fruits on the nose, with a mineral and spicy hue. On the palate the fruit dominates. The mid-palate is fresh, with well-integrated tannins and a long aftertaste.
