Such is Bott First Flight Syrah, a wine that invites the discovery of syrah’s potential in its most expressive form.

Born in the heart of the Collines Rhodaniennes, this syrah flourishes on a mosaic of clay-limestone soils that facilitate optimal ripening. The region’s Mediterranean climate provides the necessary warmth for the grape to achieve its peak aromatic and structural intensity, while environmentally conscious practices reflect the winery’s philosophy: less is more, and every detail matters.

Bott First Flight Syrah is crafted entirely from syrah, cultivated in the granitic soils of Ampuis and Condrieu. Each grape is meticulously selected and fermented at controlled temperatures to preserve its freshness and aromas. The extended maceration allows for the extraction of colour, tannins, and complexity. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for nine months using a combination of French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, imparting texture and depth. After months of patience and care, the wine is racked and bottled, ready to offer its character and vitality.
