About Font de la Figuera Blanc

One of the best white wines from Priorat. Thanks to this blend of very different varieties planted 15 years ago in small plots located at 500 m altitude on the slopes of Gratallops, and thanks to a careful winemaking process which combines several techniques and ageings, Christopher Cannan has got to produce an excellent and elegant well-bodied white wine. The grapes are manually harvested. They go through the selection table and, after a fermentation at low temperature, they undergo a maceration with the skins. A part of the wine is aged in second year French oak barrels where it remains for about 4 months. The rest lies in stainless steel tanks. Once the blend is made, the wine is bottled and left to stay for a short time.
2020

Font de la Figuera Blanc 2020 is a white wine, displaying a pale gold hue with greenish reflections, clear and luminous. Aromatically intense, it exudes scents of white and yellow stone fruits complemented by herbaceous undertones and hints of anise. On the palate, it is vibrant, preserving that fruity essence with flavors of peaches, apricots, and white fruit (pear). It concludes with an extended, spicy, and mineral finish.
2010 Complex, intense and very tasty wine with a voluminous attack and a long, silky, very tasty and creamy mid palate. Its very tasty notes of fruit are felt along with mineral aromas which are rounded with subtle notes of wood. Good but not very marked acidity. Long finish which leaves slightly sweet persistent fruity sensations. A pleasure of a wine!

Beautiful yellow colour with golden reflections. Very bright and slightly glyceric.

Elegant and seductive nose in which the smoked and mineral notes appears first and are intermingled with many aromas of ripe fruit, ranging from citrus to the touches of exotic fruits on an elegant spicy background.
