Fruita Analogica Comfortably Numb is a red wine that arrives with aromas of strawberries, cherries, and a hint of blackberries, sprinkled with subtle balsamic notes that add a cheeky touch and enhance its freshness. About Fruita Analogica Comfortably Numb

Different versions of “Comfortably Numb”, the legendary Pink Floyd song, have been made. There are many bands who have dared to imitate or make their own interpretation of the sixth track of the legendary album “The Wall”. However, can you imagine a wine version of it? This has been attempted by Dido and Jurriaan, a charismatic Dutch couple who besides being crazy about music, are passionate about natural wine. That is why, after learning about minimal intervention from the greats, they settled in a small Catalan farmhouse with 9.5 hectares of vineyards in the Empordà (Girona) region under the name Vinyes Tortuga and dared to create their own natural wines named after their favourite songs. Moreover, in their testing ground, a former cooperative renamed Fruita Analógica, they outdo themselves every day and surprise us with new, purer and more versatile wines.

Fruita Analogica Comfortably Numb is a blend of Garnacha Roja, Garnacha Tinta and Garnacha Blanca from 40-year-old vines lying 20 km from the sea and at an altitude of 150 metres. These are old vines planted on slate and granite soils that enjoy the constant influence of the sea breeze and the Tramuntana wind. Completely organic agriculture is used at all times along with biodynamic treatments. Once the grapes are harvested and selected and destemmed by hand, they undergo a one-week maceration and spontaneous fermentation using native yeasts. The wine then ages in fibreglass tanks for 6 months. Finally, the wine is bottled without filtering, clarifying or adding sulphites.

So, while “Comfortable Numb” is undoubtedly a classic of rock classics, Fruita Analogica Comfortably Numb stands out as an innovator in the world of new generation natural wine. A deliciously comforting wine.

On the palate, it is opulent, vivacious, and exceedingly pleasing. This wine features pronounced tannins, a distinct acidity, and a gentle, subtly mineral finish.
