Gaja Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo is a single-variety Nebbiolo wine made by the Gaja winery, under the DOCG Barbaresco, in Piedmont, Italy.

Angelo Gaja, fourth generation, now runs the legendary Gaja winery, one of Italy’s leading winemakers.

The grapes used to make the Gaja Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo wine come from the San Lorenzo vineyard, one of Gaja’s three separate plots, in the heart of Langhe. These grapes go through an extremely thorough selection process during the harvest, which is carried out manually. The resulting wine goes through a double refinement: first it spends twelve months in barrels and then another year in wooden barrels called botti, which are larger in size.

The name Gaja is synonymous with the world’s elite winemakers. For four generations they have been improving their vineyards to enhance the quality and expression of their varieties that are used to make wines like the Gaja Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo, which is an example of Italian winemaking excellence.
