Riesling Geltz Zilliken Rausch Kabinett is a monovarietal Riesling sweet white wine classified as a VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer. It is produced by Weingut Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken.

Weingut Forstmeister Geltz Zilliken is a family boutique winery with over 270 years of history. It cultivates its vineyards with the utmost respect in an effort to make the grapes express their full potential. The wine is produced in a cellar in a traditional way, with old wooden barrels, fermenting with native yeasts and intervening little in the processes. It saves bottles from each vintage to be able to see the ageing capacity of the wines.

The vineyards for Geltz Zilliken Rausch Kabinett have slate and diabase soils. They are harvested by hand so that the best bunches can be selected while still in the field, and also to avoid breaking the berries and to ensure that the bunches arrive in the cellar as intact as possible. It is fermented in neutral foudres so that the wood does not gain excessive prominence in the wine.

Geltz Zilliken Rausch Kabinett is a white wine that is low in alcohol, with a high acidity and about 50-60 grams/litre of residual sugars. It perfectly balances fruit and freshness, as well as minerality and sweetness. It is a very lingering wine that delights those who try it, and encourages them to continue enjoying it.
