Geschickt Pino 2018 is a creamy white wine with aromas of green apple, notes of candied lemon and hints of acacia and ginger. On the palate it is complex, silky and well structured. A round wine with delicious hints of brioche and a refreshing long-lasting acidity.

About Geschickt Pino

“The Sotheby’s Wine Encyclopedia,” is often cited as one of the most notable books on wine today. It is an encyclopedia written by Tom Stevenson, one of the most prolific wine writers and critics, which aims to map and describe all the denominations, official and unofficial, from around the world. Although first published in 1988, it has been revised over the years. In 2005, among the many improvements that were made, symbols were introduced to identify wineries using an organic and/or biodynamic approach. This same edition mentions Domaine Geschickt, a family estate managed by Arnaud Geschickt with his wife Aurélie and his uncle Frédéric, as one of the pioneering biodynamic wineries in Alsace. 12 hectares located in the village of Ammerschwihr, in the heart of the Alsace wine route, certified by Demeter and cultivated with the aim of producing natural, precise and exciting wines.

Their Geschickt Pino is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Pinot Auxerrois from vines grown on the estate. These are organic vines cultivated without any chemicals and treated with biodynamic methods with the aim of reflecting the terroir in the most faithful way. In the winery, the vinification process is very natural, with spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and 18 months of aging in large vats to keep the fruitiness intact.

With no additives or sulphites, Geschickt Pino is an impressively pure white wine. A cuvée born in the heart of Alsace that has become one of the benchmark wines for those who follow biodynamics.
