Geschickt Riesling 2023 unveils an enticing bouquet of fresh citrus, with prominent notes of lemon and tangerine, complemented by a subtle mineral touch reminiscent of flint. On the palate, this wine exhibits remarkable concentration and a lively freshness that renders it exceptionally pleasant. Its creamy profile imparts an enveloping texture, perfectly balancing the acidity and fruit flavours. This wine invites one to savour its aromatic character and elegance.

About Geschickt Riesling

Devoted to biodynamics to the core, Arnaud Geschickt and Aurélie Fayolle treat their estate, situated in the picturesque village of Ammerschwihr in Alsace (France), as a living organism, a manifestation of their life philosophy and profound connection with nature. Their approach is not merely agricultural but a reflection of their personal values, where sustainability and respect for natural cycles are paramount. So committed are they to this holistic approach that even their mare Iris plays an essential role in the daily vineyard work. Iris is not just a beast of burden; she is a true symbol of Domaine Geschickt's commitment to biodynamics, soil regeneration, and sustainability. As Arnaud himself aptly puts it: “we craft liberated and living terroir wines”, born from land that is deeply cared for and respected.

Geschickt Riesling is the perfect reflection of this meticulous and mindful approach. A single-varietal riesling that is directly pressed, with 10% of the grapes undergoing a 15-day maceration, imparting greater depth and complexity. It is then blended in foudre and aged for 18 months, allowing it to develop subtle elegance and a vibrant expression of its terroir.

And although Iris, the mare that roams the vineyard, does not appear in the bottle, her presence in the field is the silent essence that breathes life into this delightful Geschickt Riesling. A wine that invites you to pause, savour, and be seduced by its authenticity.
